The Village of Clemmons has initiated a Pedestrian Plan study, which will result in the first ever Pedestrian Master Plan for the Village. Funded through a planning grant from the Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WSUAMPO) with additional local support from the Village of Clemmons, the Pedestrian Plan study will focus on enhancing the network of pedestrian and multi-use path facilities. Recommendations will include a variety of sidewalks, multi-use path and crossing improvements as well as policy and funding opportunities review. The Village of Clemmons held a kick-off for the project with VHB, the consultant team selected to work on the Plan update, on February 23rd and existing conditions data collection is underway. Three Steering Committee meetings and two public engagement events are planned during the duration of the meeting. The first Steering Committee meeting is planned for May 2nd and the first public engagement event and an online public survey is expected to take place later in May 2023. A draft plan document is expected in the winter of 2024. Stay tuned for plan process updates!
